News Websites

I just read three news websites. I read the WHS Hi's Eye website, the Daily Orange website, and the NY Times website.  I thought that these three websites had very well done layouts.  The WHS Hi's Eye and the Daily Orange both have tabs for an easy way to get around the site.  All three of the sites have one main topic that is the first thing you see on the website.  After the main topic, they all have other topics listed below but they aren't as noticable as the main topic.  Another thing that is similar between all three of them is that they all have something that links to social networks.  Like Facebook and Twitter.  The WHS Hi's Eye and the Daily Orange are both very simple to navigate your way around the website.  They don't have a lot showing on the front page and have many tabs to click on to view different topics.  The NY Times has too much on the main page that it is hard to read because there is so much text.  Also, the text is little which doesn't help.  There are also too many sponsors on the website.

What the Blog is About

This blog is going to be about the Charlotte Bobcats.  I am going to talk about the players, their season, and the future of the team.

Bobcats Season So Far

Right now, the Bobcats are not having too good of a season.  Their record is 7-53.  Most of the reason why their season isn't being so successful is because they had lost their two best players recently.  Last year, they traded away Gerald Wallace for Joel Pryzbilla, a center, Dante Cunningham, a forward, and a 2011 first round draft pick.  This trade really hurt them because now, most of their scoring had to come from Stephen Jackson.  But after last season, Stephen Jackson was a free agent, which means he could sign with any team that gives him an offer, and he decided to sign with the Milwaukee Bucks.  So as of right now, the Bobcats do not have a star player.  This year has been a rebuilding year for them.  They will most likely get the first overall pick of this years NBA draft and if Anthony Davis, center from University of Kentucky, decides to go to the NBA next season, the Bobcats will most likely draft him first overall.  He will help their team out a ton on both, the offensive end and defensive end.  The Bobcats can only get better now.

Blog Comparison

This blog is about players that did not do too well in the game they played in and they call it, The Flop of the Night.  This blog is about a fine that a player, DeMarcus Cousins, had gotten for complaining about referees.  He was fined $25k.  I think the Flop of the Night blog is better because it changes everynight and it has some comedy in.  Also there is more to blog about than the DeMarcus Cousins being fined blog.
